D-Day Plus 65 Years

d-day-tToday marks the 65th Anniversary of D-Day, the full scale invasion of allied forces that precipitated the liberation of France and hastened the end of World War II in Europe. Although the ranks of surviving veterans of that incredible invasion thin daily, there are still many, now octogenarians, who gather in commemoration of this day. Their memories of that day and of their comrades will never fade, even after half a century, and our observation and honoring of that day and those heroes remain as tribute to their power of example. Although the words, "Uncommon valor was a common virtue" were said by Admiral Chester Nimitz of Iwo Jima, they apply equally to D-Day, and in fact, all of those brave Americans in combat zones in service of this Republic. These soldiers, marines, sailors and airmen can never be repaid the debt we owe them for their service and for the example they have shown us. Bless them all, living and dead, and protect our troops now engaged in present day combat zones.

It is with conflict that I bring another topic to this page, as I am reluctant to allow the topic below to share space with the topic above, but I feel that it is more incumbent than ever to expose and highlight the sad contrast between those heroes of D-Day and what passes for 21st century executive power. Seized in direct violation of our Constitution's Eligibility Clause, aided and abetted by main stream media's complicity in news suppression, the individual now residing in the same White House as Franklin Delano Roosevelt as he led America through the Second World War is most probably not only an illegal alien, but now an admitted Muslim. Not that there's anything wrong with that...except his refusal to be forthcoming, transparent and abide by the laws of our land and our Constitution, his Taqiyya practice [Taqiyya, or not showing their faith openly by means of pretense, dissimulation, or concealment, is a special type of LYING which is taught and used by Shi'a Muslims, cf. Sunni Muslims and Taqiyya. "Taqiyya" (or taqiyyah) is related to the terms "taqwa'" and "taqi'" - all have the root meaning of "guarding" something, in this case, the Islamic faith] and, of course, complete refusal to share ANY of his life's records would indicate that this is simply NOT the kind of individual who merits respect from a country that has produced a Declaration of Independence, Constitution and D-Day heroes.d-day-2t

It is disturbing indeed, and difficult if not impossible to reconcile two such greatly disparate concepts: being willing to die for one's country as opposed to lying for one's personal agenda.

It boggles the mind, and so I leave you today, D-Day's 65th Anniversary, with some salient words from our wise Logistics Monster, entitled [from the film "Full Metal Jacket"]. "Heads and A$$e$ Wired Together":

Can someone tell Barack Obama that Jeruselam is not ours to give to the Palestinians; that we are at war with islamic jihadist muslims; that the Federal Reserve and the Treasury do not get to make policy; that we SHOULD NOT be apologizing for being Americans; that the POTUS is just that, and not a "citizen of the world"; that Barack Obama does not get to decide which religions get along; that the entities that contribute the most to campaigns do not get to decide which laws get passed; that Latina, or ANY OTHER RACISTS should not be anywhere near positions of power; that We The People have common sense, unlike our non-representative representatives. We are TIRED of these INSANE JUXTIPOSITIONS that this government is involved in.

What else can be said, except Thank you, D-Day heroes, Thank you, American Military [and 2/8 now in Afghanistan], and thank you Logistics Monster, for always coming up with Just The Right Words. We must remember that no ONE individual, no matter how strong the illusion of power, can sully our great nation and the sacrifices of our citizens, both military and civilian. We are a nation that was created by We the People, in order to form a more perfect union* and let us not forget that, not now, not ever.

Under the Covers: Has The World Gone MAD??

As we continue to be buried under a daily avalanche of outrage, insanity, lawlessness, stupidity and terror, it is important to remember a few things:

1) We must square our collective shoulders, come out from under the covers, [AND the avalanche from hell], man up and look the truth squarely in the eye as we expose it and make it viral;

2) As we continue to do this, we must remember, as Mad Magazine's inimitable Don Martin, to find humor in everything we can. [A big thanks to Mad and Mr. Martin for making our world a funnier place].

This is not to say that the things we hear are laughable. On the contrary, they are most often blood curdlingly [is that even a WORD?!] grim, as can be seen below in just a small sampling of snippets from today's Worst, or, as our Logistics Monster so sagely puts it, the "A.Y.F.K.M. Awards."

1. NRA Appeals Seventh Circuit Ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court

Fairfax, Va. - Today, the National Rifle Association filed a petition for certiorari to the U.S. Supreme Court in the case of NRA v. Chicago. The NRA strongly disagrees with yesterday's decision issued by a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, holding that the Second Amendment does not apply to state and local governments.

2. Cover-up: CBS bans eligibility billboards

WASHINGTON – The company touting itself as the "world's largest out-of-home media" enterprise has banned WND's national billboard campaign that asks one simple question: "Where's the birth certificate?" CBS Outdoor, a division of CBS Corp. that sells more outdoor advertising than any other billboard company in North America, refuses to accept purchases of space on any of its 550,000 displays nationwide, media buyers for WND report. [Note from Logistics Monster

"6/3/09: America is waking up. The changes in hits on this site for different search terms is shifting from Montana Gun Law and Sonia Sotomayor Gun Control TO Obama's Occidental Records and Impeach Obama. This shift started 2 days ago and has been trending upwards daily. Food for thought"].

3. White House 'dialogue' site scrubbed of eligibility posts
Many Obama birth certificate queries yanked from 'transparency' debate. This one is to die for: World Net Daily's Chelsea Schilling reports that the site the White House put up recently, claiming it wanted input from Americans [what a novel idea!] has scrubbed over 200 threads asking about eligibility issues.
With more than 200 individual threads and thousands of comments on the eligibility issue alone, moderators of the White House website on "open government dialogue" have been working tirelessly to edit the dialogue about Barack Obama's elusive "long-form" birth certificate.
Many of the top-rated threads are from citizens calling on Obama to release his birth certificate. The postings in the "top rated" category have received the most "looks promising" votes from users. New threads on the topic of Obama's constitutional eligibility to serve as president are appearing by the minute.
WND observed the "Making Data More Accessible" section for several hours as more suggestions appeared and at least 60 were subsequently deleted on the first page alone – all requests for the president to submit proof of citizenship.
One deleted post echoed many others in asking President Obama to "Prove that you are a U.S. citizen and valid president."
The post asks why Obama doesn't simply release his "real birth certificate and end all of this controversy."
"Are you a fraud?" it asks. "Is your election to the highest office in the land the largest scam ever pulled on the American people? Are you really not eligible for office? End the speculation and prove who you are."
Let Obama and everyone else know you care about the Constitution. Take part in the WND's "Where's the Birth Certificate?" billboard campaign!
Another removed thread titled, "Where is the Obama legal documentation to prove who he actually is?" asked the president to provide the following documents: original, vault copy birth certificate, records of attorney fees, marriage and divorce records for Obama's parents, passport, adoption records, school records and various other documents.
One displeased user who had his post deleted wrote, "I posted a comment about the lack of transparency in President Obama's administration and history, and down it came in minutes. So much for a open dialogue or, for that matter, freedom of speech."
Another man suggested U.S. citizens consider a class-action lawsuit against President Obama until he surrenders his documents. His post stated, in part:

Dear President, If only you would show us your long form birth certificate that shows location (hospital) of birth as well as attending physician info. Be it duly noted that We the People of this constitutional republic do hereby note many of the abuses of power that you and your administration's representatives are currently engaged in. We the People do hereby
certify that we are considering all legal options available to restrict your audacity to run roughshod over the Constitution, abuse of power and office, as well as spending too much friggin' money when we are, as a nation, broke..."
His post was subsequently deleted. "Who would have thought that even contemplating such action would be required against a sitting president and administration? A class-action approach may be the only viable way to force reporting in the mainstream press," he told WND.
Meanwhile, a thread titled "Contact the media to get it out in the open that the 'birthers' are a racist terrorist organization practicing electronic espionage" remained in place for much of the day while messages from the so-called "birthers" were removed. It has now been flagged. A link for providing news tips to CNN accompanied the message.

4. A California pastor and his wife were required by San Diego County officials to obtain a permit to hold a Bible study in their home.
"What?! Is this a joke?" I wondered as I heard the news for the first time. It was no joke. Rather, it's a First Amendment nightmare and possibly a foreshadowing of what's to come.
Are you prepared for a future in which you hear, "Got your permit to study the Bible?"
On April 10 (Good Friday), a county code enforcement officer visited the home of David and Mary Jones after receiving a complaint about their Christian gatherings. The Jones' attorney, Dean Broyles, president of The Western Center for Law & Policy, conveyed in disbelief, "The county asked (Mrs. Jones), 'Do you have a regular meeting in your home?' She said, 'Yes.' 'Do you say "amen"?' 'Yes.' 'Do you pray?' 'Yes.' 'Do you say "praise the Lord"?' 'Yes.'"
The officer then warned the family to "cease and desist" the "religious gathering" or they would face weekly fines. A few days later, the county delivered a citation claiming that the Joneses were guilty of "unlawful use of land" and mandating them to "stop religious assembly or apply for a major use permit."
At first, I thought, "They must have a large congregation meeting in their home to warrant this type of citation and prompt this type of commotion, right?" Actually, according to their lawyer, the Joneses have been hosting weekly Bible studies in their home for about five years, with an average attendance of only about 15 people.
Broyles appropriately responded, "If the county thinks they can shut down groups of 10 or 15 Christians meeting in a home, what about people who meet regularly at home for poker night? What about people who meet for Tupperware parties? What about people who are meeting to watch baseball games on a regular basis and support the Chargers?"

Well, this past weekend, barraged by hundreds of complaints after WorldNetDaily broke the news to the international community, San Diego County officials informed the world that they'd backed down from requiring the Joneses to obtain a permit. Despite their retraction (based solely upon public pressure, I might add), however, I am appalled at how far the county's enforcement and encroachment crossed the constitutional line and became a flagrant disregard for Americans' right to exercise their religious faiths. And I'm concerned that we will see far more of these overreaching governmental actions in years to come.
As Mary Jones shared with Fox News: "The implications are great because it's not only us that's involved. There are thousands and thousands of Bible studies that are held all across the country. What we're interested in is setting a precedent here -- before it goes any further -- and that we have it settled for the future." http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=32098

5. 'Obama met Muslim Brotherhood members in U.S.'

U.S. President Barack Obama met with members of Egypt's Islamist opposition movement, the Muslim Brotherhood, earlier this year, according to a report in Thursday editions of the Egyptian daily newspaper Almasry Alyoum. The newspaper reported that Obama met the group's members, who reside in the U.S. and Europe, in Washington two months ago.
According to the report, the members requested that news of the meeting not be publicized. They expressed to Obama their support for democracy and the war on terror.
The newspaper also reported that the members communicated to Obama their position that the Muslim Brotherhood would abide by all agreements Egypt has signed with foreign countries.
Obama landed in Cairo on Thursday to deliver a conciliatory speech as part of his outreach to the Arab and Muslim world. The Muslim Brotherhood is considered a Sunni-dominated fundamentalist Islamic organization that has spawned numerous factions across the Arab world that have engaged in terrorist activity, including the Palestinian rejectionist group Hamas.
It is also the main opposition bloc to Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, whose regime is viewed favorably in the West due to its adherence to the thirty-year-old peace treaty between Israel and Egypt.

6. From Khaled Abu Toameh , THE JERUSALEM POST Jun. 3, 2009
The two Hamas militiamen killed earlier this week by Palestinian Authority
policemen in Kalkilya initially used a local woman as a human shield during
the seven-hour gun battle before she herself threw a grenade at the
policemen, PA security sources said on Wednesday. The woman, Amal, is the wife of Abdel Nasser al-Basha, the owner of the house where the two Hamas men, Muhammad Samman and Muhammad Yassin, had been hiding.
OKAY. Now, let me get this straight: THESE are the people Mr. Obama, with HR 1388, is giving that $20 Million to travel to and settle in the US??

And so it goes. Keep the faith all...keep learning and spreading the Truth...laugh when you can, love all you can and stand up for our Republic by attending Tea Parties and marches!

The march on Washington DC is on 9/12/09. Glenn Beck’s 912 Project; the 09.12.09 National Taxpayer Protest, sponsored by Freedom Works Foundation, Campaign For Liberty. This is a crucial crossroads for our Republic. As Logistics Monster says, "Our non-representative representatives will either be listening or they won’t, and we will finally have our answer. Do we get our Republic back or are we on our way to anarchy?" Remember the difference between a March and a Revolution: a March assumes that someone in leadership cares about the message; a Revolution has realized that they don't.

Oh, and see "The Pink Panther"--the Peter Sellers version! It does wonders for the psyche!

May Day... Mayday, Mayday, Mayday!

maypole_aMay Day: It's a celebration of Spring. It's a day of political protests. It's a neopagan festival, a saint's feast day, and a day for organized labor. In many countries, it is a national holiday. The first of May was once a happy day spent in celebration of spring. In medieval England, people would celebrate the start of spring by going out to the country or woods—"going a-maying"—and gathering flowers, or "bringing in the may." Here in America, it was once a day for parties, May poles with ribbons and apple blossums. Vikings had Walpurgis Night, Celtics Beltain, Latin countries have Cinco de Mayo four days later, and Obby Oss is thought to be the oldest May Day celebration in Europe, dating back to the 13th century. In the hey days of the former U.S.S.R., large parades, populated with all manner of military vehicles and weaponry, were the word of the day, celebrating The People and, of course, most importantly, The State.
Mayday, on the other hand, is an emergency code word used internationally as a distress signal in radio communications. It derives from the French "venez m'aider" ["r" is silent], meaning 'come help me'. It is used to signal life-threatening emergency, and The Call is always given three times in a row ("Mayday Mayday Mayday") to prevent mistaking it for something similar-sounding under noisy conditions, and to distinguish an actual Mayday call from a message about a Mayday call.
Unfortunately, today marks occasion for both. A big H/T to American Genie, Logistics Monster and Live, Fortunes, Sacred Honor for continuing to make us aware of the many dangers we presently face, including the hubristic, invasive and illegal tactics practiced by ACORN, and reminding us that even though it is difficult to wrap our minds around this stuff, it is vital that we do so or suffer the severe consequences. After reading Genie and Namvet's posts about it, I shared my own experience with ACORN brownshirts trespassing on my property without permission, and if it is any portant of the future, we do indeed have much to fear.
When I found them in my yard, I told them that I was not interested in helping them in any way as

1) They were illegally on my property without my permission;

2) It was not census time;

3) Census is a NOT constitutionally within the purview of the FREAKING WHITE HOUSE.

The nice old gent in front wavered a moment until his partner in crime, a no nonsense type older woman who seemed to have a lot of experience rounding up uncooperative enemies of the State told him he had to hand me a piece of paper, which he did. It was the same one Genie received, reminding us what we are "obligated" to do and what we are not. But wait--there's more!
Five minutes later I was in the back yard and whom do I see trespassing around my old, helpless single neighbor's back yard and outbuildings--the same pair of miscreants. I yelled, "CAN I HELP YOU?" and they mumbled something about looking for other residents on the property. I told them that no one lived there and that they needed to move on. Unfortunately, the damage was already done. GPS in hand, they managed to creep my meighborhood and register it on on their hand held device. Scary times these.

Mayday Mayday Mayday...

From our beloved LM,

They are *only* GPS marking your front door now, and Sec. 223, Title 13, U.S. Code, Chapter 7, Subtitle 2 provides the Fed NO authority to GPS paint your front door. Best I can tell, the Fed has NO authority whatsoever, to paint the front door of every private residence in America. Still, that is exactly what they are doing. Now, the trillion dollar question is, why?

And, finally, and perhaps most disturbing, [it IS a tough call, after all, with such massive amounts of shock and awe assaulting us every day] I bring a bon voyage message from my friend Doctorate, on her way to some blessed R & R in warm sunny climes:

The Audacity of Hubris: How an Enabling Press Corps Produces a Culture of Pathological Liars.

[One] could literally see Robert Gibbs's nose growing yesterday as he made statements about what Joe Biden "meant" regarding Swine Flu and his family's travel prospects. This combined with the recent bowing-to-royalty incident, which we literally watched on video while he told us it wasn't happening, is beyond the pale. It all reminds me of when I lived in Santiago for five years. In underdeveloped countries under authoritarian rule, there is not only constant manipulation of the press by the government - which uses the media as a propaganda tool - but the average citizen learns to have no qualms about lying through his or her teeth about the most mundane of topics. For example, if you would ask someone for directions there back in the 80s, and they did not know the answer, they would happily make up something and send you wherever. It was less shameful to invent a story then to say, "I don't know," or to articulate an explanation or apology. This is part of the underdeveloped mentality generally and could happen under any type of government; but it is facilitated by authoritarianism in cases where the ruling party sets the tone even for thought.
We are dealing in the realm of idiocy here and sometimes it is indeed laughable, though no less terrifying.
PS: I trust the opposition is in good hands right now, including yours. If you could do one thing while I am away, could you please remove the usurper? Just that would be great. Seriously, here's hoping the lawsuits are in full substantive swing when I get back.

As I said, folks...Mayday Mayday Mayday...and thank god for all the good guys on OUR side!

Gee...20???

Talk about putting all of one's eggs in one basket! Like it or not, the G-20 summit convenes officially today in London, England, where Ms. Usurper has already appeared to greet PM Brown in yet ANOTHER tiresome, classless version of the Ugly, Sleeveless Suit, Mr. Usurper hurled yet another cheap insult, this time at the Queen, by bestowing upon her an iPod of all things--and the Summit hasn't even started yet. As if it weren't enough to have tossed the Prime Minister of Great Britain a bunch of cheap, silly American DVDs that aren't even formatted for a British player, The Useless Ones continue to spew their trail of carnage behind them as they cart with them nearly an entire White House staff replete with food, water, and cooks; bazillions of dollars worth of fancy cars, helicopters, gasoline and support staff of over 500, [200 Security troops], and most probably a solid car load of sleeveless wear for every occasion. But, despite the devil-may-care, halcyon days-style partying of these two, these are serious times. The world economy has collapsed, Russia and China are calling for a new currency to supplant the Dollar, there will be no pork products served at the Summit [although one wonders why not, if all attendees are bringing and cooking their own food], and the Infidels of the World [read: ANYone NOT Muslim, who, by the way, already own a significant amount of Citibank and have thus already been kicked back a few dollars from the first bailout--[what WOULD they ever do without the indentured American tax payer??] are meeting to make agreements with Muslim leaders whose very Sharia law not only encourages them to, but DEMANDS that they break any contract made with an Infidel within 7 years. So...what's wrong with this picture, you ask? I mean, aside from the fact that none of this, with the exception of the appearance of another ugly sleeveless garment and some tasteless gifts to heads of state, are being reported in main stream media? Aside from the obscene amount of American taxpayers' money being siphoned off to pay for this ridiculous trip? At this rate, it starts to make Nancy's Special, Extra Expensive plane rides and the daily Kobe beef chow downs look frugal. One can hardly wait to learn the outcome of all this fuss and fanfare, aside from the obvious fact that the emperor has no clothes...not now, not ever.
To get to the truth behind it all, I prescribe daily if not hourly visits to our very own Logistics Monster, resident Minister of Truth and researcher extraordinaire. Even when there's no news [a rarity!] the list of visitors is always entertaining and highly illuminating on its own!

To get ACTIVE with ACCDF, take a moment to view their page here and look for the new site's rollout next week. These times they are a-changin'...for they are NOT the change we hoped for.

1444 v. 450

HR1444 = Violates 13th Amendment, mandatory service: PASSED.
HR 450 =
To require Congress to specify the source of authority under the United States Constitution for the enactment of laws: SCUTTLED.
Gee. Which one would any sane person think should pass? Which one DID pass? If you are aware that the mandatory service/Hitler Youth bill was the one that passed, you are following the perfidy of Congress very well these days. As for HR 450: Nancy Pelosi, ever true to her tawdry image, scuttled it by sending it off to the Judiciary Committee for an unspecified amount of time...in other words--she killed it. We should all call our Reps and let them know they MUST petition for it to be passed, if indeed any of them listens these days. For all intents and purposes, however, it appears that they do not, as I have not recently heard of any satisfactory response to a constituent from any government official or politician. Given that, against the approval of 99% of the American people, they passed both the Bailout bill and the Slave bill, it is not prudent to think that petitioning them on such a small matter as adherence to the Constitution would give them any cause to respond other than send inane form letters and do what they please.
[For a thorough rundown on HR 450, go to http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:h450]
Text of H.R. 450: Enumerated Powers Act
This version: Introduced in House. This is the original text of the bill as it was written by its sponsor and submitted to the House for consideration. This is the latest version of the bill available on this website.
HR 450 IH
111th CONGRESS
1st Session
To require Congress to specify the source of authority under the United States Constitution for the enactment of laws, and for other purposes.
IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
January 9, 2009
Mr. SHADEGG introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary, and in addition to the Committee on Rules, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned
A BILL To require Congress to specify the source of authority under the United States Constitution for the enactment of laws, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ‘Enumerated Powers Act’.
SEC. 2. SPECIFICATION OF CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY FOR ENACTMENT OF LAW.

(a) Constitutional Authority for This Act- This Act is enacted pursuant to the power granted Congress under article I, section 8, clause 18, of the United States Constitution and the power granted to each House of Congress under article I, section 5, clause 2, of the United States Constitution.
(b) Constitutional Authority Statement Required- Chapter 2 of title 1, United States Code, is amended by inserting after section 102 the following new section:
‘Sec. 102a. Constitutional authority clause
‘Each Act of Congress shall contain a concise and definite statement of the constitutional authority relied upon for the enactment of each portion of that Act. The failure to comply with this section shall give rise to a point of order in either House of Congress. The availability of this point of order does not affect any other available relief.’
(c) Clerical Amendment- The table of sections at the beginning of chapter 2 of title 1, United States Code, is amended by inserting after the item relating to section 102 the following new item:
‘102a. Constitutional authority clause.’

Well, that about says it all as far as Congress goes. The ONE bill that MIGHT have shed a ray of hope into our hearts has been scuttled by Nancy Pelosi. God forbid Congress should have to be accountable to the point that they adhere to the Constitution when they introduce and pass bills. Clearly, Nancy & Co., know all too well that NOTHING they have done would pass muster under our Constitution, so the only way around THAT is to scuttle any bill that tries to mandate that our laws abide by it. It would be laughable if it werent' so terribly sad and frightening. Well...the People are marching...and the tumbrils roll. Proceed against the Constitution at your own peril, Congress...or whoever you are...
Many thx to Lyn's FB shout out...and to Logistics Monster...yeah, what SHE said! Let's get ACTIVE with ACCDF, folks!

Spring Into Tea Time

The warmth of the Spring sun toasts the patio stones to the temperature of a hot rocks massage, and I am blessed this day to be able to watch an old dog snooze on their warmth as I watch a puppy cavort in the grass. Yes, life goes on-- amidst war and worry, terror and trial, here and abroad, we must all remember to savor these small spaces in time where life goes on as usual, and rejoice in the gifts it brings as we make ready our plans to speak out against that which threatens to bring us down. A great many thanks to the Usual Suspects--those bright bastions of light amidst the dark who grace and embrace us with fact, sort it from MSM fiction, and give us the kind of REAL hope that springs eternal in the hearts and minds of Americans near and far. Worldnet Daily, who reports Bob Basso's summons to the White House after his hugely successful, oft viewed Youtube "Thomas Paine" video came into their sights; who maintains an updated Tea Party site; Maggie's Notebook and Texas Darlin' , who have been diligent in reporting government surveillance on Bob Basso and Stephen Pidgeon, [our very own "Constitutional Radio's" guest this Tuesday, March 31 at 10:00 PM!] and others who dare to speak out, and of course, first, last and always, our inimitable Logistics Monster, who not only reports the truth the few knew, but also those who watch her, in the hope for a more transparent society all around! After all...Fair is Fair... and Those Who Watch must realize that Watching must be a two way street in a Democratic Republic. There are, in fact, so many hard working, patriotic Americans involved in the fight for their country now, both home and abroad that it would be impossible to include them all in one post-- my blogroll is long, and though by no means exhaustive, a good place to start-- but rest assured, no perusal of patriotism is complete without checking and supporting these fine sites: The Right Side of Life, Pat Dollard's growing coalition American Constitution and Capitalism Defense Front [ACCDF/ACTIVE] and radio show. And, too, the tireless efforts of Orly Taitz, Mario Apuzzo, Phil Berg and Teo at Birthers.org. Just a word of caution to all: Keep those Tea Parties going, and beware gov't. efforts to keep them hidden, cancelled and unattended. MSM has yet to report any of the massive wave of these grassroots efforts that have been taking place around the country, and as organizers of the April 1st Tea Party in Cape Coral, FL learned, if "too many" people plan to attend, municipalities can cancel these events unless permits and insurance are purchased in advance. Cape Coral's event portended a turn out of more than 500 people and thus, authorities prevailed upon Lynn Rosko to obtain permit and insurance. But, we continue to forge ahead on our path of patriotism, to educate others and to make ourselves heard, and we must salute not only our troops and patriotic leaders, but, too, the thin ranks of main stream media who have the courage and conviction to speak out about that which is wrong: Michelle Malkin, Glenn Beck's 912 Project, Gretawire...you know who you are--and a great big hat tip to you all! Happy Spring, Happy Tea Time and Happy Birthday Patriotism!

And, remember--our Founding Fathers were at once wily and wise--the perfect recipe for a nation of freedom!
"There is danger from all men. The only maxim of a free government ought to be to trust no man living with power to endanger the public liberty. --John Adams

Hope you'll all join me tonight at 11 PM EST on "Kicking Back With Central" as I welcome Birthers.org founder, Teo Bear!

To Our Friends Across the Pond

Prime Minister Brown, and all our British friends, please accept our most humble apologies for the most rude, crude, sophomoric, undignified, mindless and pathetic performance of bad behavior that has ever darkened the door of our White House by the Usurper and his partner in crime. We offer our heartfelt condolences at what you and your countrymen suffered at the hands of these cretins and hope that you understand that we neither put them there, nor supported the clueless rudeness to which you and your lovely family were subjected during your recent visit to the U.S.

Outraged Americans have joined a Facebook group dedicated to an attempt to demonstrate our mortification about how your were treated, and Andrea Shea King has emailed and called your consulate expressing her dismay as well. I invite everyone to join in our efforts to extend our apologies to PM Brown, his family and the British people by contacting the British Consulate [click here for contact info] or go to http://radiopatriot.blogspot.com/ and joining the Facebook group.

The Patriot Room has posted a complete story, as have Logistics Monster and Andrea Shea King, among others. This is a sad day for our country, who has remained as friends and allies for nearly 200 years. As we fought together to save the world from Nazism, we shall we continue to fight together to preserve and protect both nations from all forces of destruction, wherever they may be.

Join us tonight at 11 PM EST for another edition of "Kicking Back With Central Park" as we welcome our guest, Pat Dollard, founder of ACTIVE PAC! www.blogtalkradio.com/Central-Park-7

The Sunday Buzz: Tea Parties Abound!

March 2009 burst forth this morning, grayly sombre, as befits the news on the home front. He Who Would Pretend To Lead spoke at Camp Le June, NC on Thursday, refusing to appear on stage until after the National Anthem and Invocation prayer had been completed, and spoke of raising troops' pay, draw down of American troops in Iraq, and buildup starting with 17,000, 10,000 of them Marines, in Afghanistan over coming months--all in the same speech. Troops interviewed post speech were strictly coached to keep the focus on themselves and their own opinions and refrain from attributing anything they had heard with the words, "Mr. Obama said...."

In the meantime, however, our country continues to stumble as it struggles, in shocked stupor, reeling from the blows smote upon it from the current resident of the White House in the face of the passing of unread HR1 and all its hidden earmarks. But, lest one doubt the resolve, intelligence and inventiveness of the American People, I remind you all that we are a hearty bunch, independent in nature, loving of country, family and friends, and have been known worldwide as a stalwart nation of committed patriots whose courage to fight for their country never wanes until victory is won. From the Boston Tea Party to the American Declaration of Independence, Wars of Revolution and of 1812, our Marines fighting their way up Iwo Jima, that a crucial airfield exist for long Pacific sorties, to Vietnam, won many times over with the courage of our troops, and the wars of the Middle East, we who call ourselves Americans never give up when the going gets tough, and never since our Revolution has it been more tough than it is now, in these United States.

Suffice to say, without reiteration, that these are truly the times that try our souls. For the first time since the mid 19th century, many states are asserting their individual sovereignty and rights under the 10th Amendment, while it is rumored that moves are being considered in Congress to block those very rights before more of them form resolutions. Our nation's people have suffered insult upon injury as their representatives in Congress meet their pleas with derision, dead ears or disinformation. And, is if that weren't enough, there are whispered though as yet unconfirmed rumors of secret agreements by our government to grant eminent domain as collateral to China for its debts, no longer payable. With the secretively passed Global Poverty Act, this administration as quadrupled our foreign aid while those at home lose jobs, homes and health care. Loving families can no longer keep their animals and must put them up for adoption and there is talk of Sharia law knocking at our doors as a man beheads his wife because she sued for divorce from his violence. Our Constitution continues to be breached and trampled as greedy civil servants forget their places and feed hungrily at the trough of money and power.

These are but few of the ills we suffer now, with no end in sight, and so, as always, the American Spirit of strengh and courage, and its sense of fairness and justice rise up once again to protect our country, its Constitution and its way of life.

In the words of "Network's" famously outraged Howard Beale, "WE'RE MAD AS HELL AND WE'RE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!" Americans have come together to stand up for themselves and their country and stand up to those who created this sad state of affairs, to wit:

Americans throw more than 40 tea parties
Citizens answer Rick Santelli's call, unite for nationwide protest

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=90055

The list of nationwide participants in this glorious movement grows daily and, in addition to the more than 40 tea party events across the nation occurring in the last week of February, more and bigger are in the planning stage now, notably July 4th and September 11-14, 2009. Official sponsors of the events include Top Conservatives on Twitter, Smart Girl Politics, Don'tGo Movement, FreedomWorks and Americans for Prosperity. I close with links to reports and photos from yestday's Manhattan Tea Party at City Hall Park from Bermanpost at http://www.bermanpost.com/2009/02/city-hall-tea-party-protest-nyc.html wherein excellent commentary and advice can be found. Also, see yesterday's truthisgold post in which Michelle Malkin's blog and reports can be linked, and today's Logistics Monster, our vanguard in courage, knowledge and wisdom. In future I shall continue to report Tea party updates as we guide and support one another through our greatest constitutional challenge to date.

Godspeed, Geert Wilders, Ms. Placed Dem & Logistics Monster

A hearty thanks to our Logistics Monster and Ms. Placed Democrat--You, who always *Say It All*! Those who briefly celebrated Alabama Senator Shelby for timidly raising a question about the illegal alien in the White House, and whose hopes were short lived when he back tracked in front of CNN must also remember that this *brave patriot* [NOT] also did not make his voice heard at the time of the Senate vote to certify this Usurper. Tea Parties abound, from sea to shining sea--as OpEdNews covers the latest on 10th Amendment doings and States' Rights issues. As noted yesterday, there are now 28 states engaged in exploring and/or passing resolutions asserting their rights under the U.S. Constitution. One might venture to say that, had our educational system been more thoughtfully administered, we might not be in this present sad state of affairs, with Americans scratching their heads and trying to remember just what it was the Constitution meant ...intended ...stated ...and why they didn't pay better attention the day it was covered in school. Sadly, that noble document upon which our nation has proceeded, both needs and deserves entire semesters devoted to its study.

Because our First Amendment rights are so sacred, and our guarantee of these rights becoming more tenuous each day, I reprint the following excerpt from Geert Wilders's speech, given at New York's Four Seasons, on February 23, 2009. Requiring no further explanation, it appears in its entirety at his website. http://www.geertwilders.nl/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1535&Itemid=1 Save for comment below by "Not a Sheep," I leave it to the reader to decide two things:

1. How important to you are our First Amendment Rights; and
2. Are you aware of how dangerously close we are to losing them with
the advent of main stream media's political correctness and word
police operatives.

This is the essence of my short introduction today: where the left and Islam come together, freedom will suffer.
My friends, make no mistake, my prosecution is a full-fledged attack by the left on freedom of speech in order to please Muslims. It was started by a member of the Dutch Labour party, and the entire legal proceeding is done by well-to-do liberals, the radical chic of Dutch society, the snobbish left. Too much money, too much time, too little love of liberty. If you read what the court of Amsterdam has written about me, you read the same texts that cultural relativists produce.
How low can we go in the Netherlands? About my prosecution, The Wall Street Journal noted: “this is no small victory for Islamic regimes seeking to export their censorship laws to wherever Muslims reside”. The Journal concluded that by The Netherlands accepting the free speech standards of, “Saudi-Arabia”, I stand correct in my observation that - I quote - “Muslim immigration is eroding traditional Dutch liberties”.
Now, if the Wall Street Journal has the moral clarity to see that my prosecution is the logical outcome of our disastrous, self-hating, multiculturalists immigration policies, then why can’t the European liberal establishment see the same thing? Why aren’t they getting at least a little bit scared by the latest news out of, for example, the UK. News that tells that the Muslim population in Britain is growing ten times as fast as the rest of society. Why don’t they care?

The answer is: they don’t care because they are blinded by their cultural relativism. Their disdain of the West is so much greater than the appreciation of our many liberties. And therefore, they are willing to sacrifice everything. The left once stood for women rights, gay rights, equality, democracy. Now, they favour immigration policies that will end all this. Many even lost their decency. Elite politicians have no problem to participate in or finance demonstrations where settlers shout “Death to the Jews”. Seventy years after Auschwitz they know of no shame.
Two weeks ago, I tried to get into Britain, a fellow EU country. I was invited to give a speech in Parliament. However, upon arrival at London airport, I was refused entry into the UK, and sent back on the first plane to Holland. I would have loved to have reminded the audience of a great man who once spoke in the House of Commons. In 1982 President Reagan gave a speech there very few people liked. Reagan called upon the West to reject communism and defend freedom. He introduced a phrase: ‘evil empire’. Reagan’s speech stands out as a clarion call to preserve our liberties. I quote: If history teaches anything, it teaches self-delusion in the face of unpleasant facts is folly. What Reagan meant is that you cannot run away from history, you cannot escape the dangers of ideologies that are out to destroy you. Denial is no option.

So, what should we do? Is this a good moment for freedom-loving people to give in or to change course? To all-of-a-sudden start singing praise of Islam, or proclaiming there is such a thing as a moderate Islam? Will we now accept the continuation of Muslim mass immigration to the West? Will we appease sharia and jihad? Should we sacrifice gay rights and women rights? Or democracy? Should we sell out Israel, our dearest ally, and a frontline state of Islam?
Well, my humble opinion is: No way, Jose!
I suggest to defend freedom in general and freedom of speech in particular. I propose the withdrawal of all hate speech legislation in Europe. I propose a European First Amendment. In Europe we should defend freedom of speech like you Americans do. In Europe freedom of speech should be extended, instead of restricted. Of course, calling for violence or unjustly yelling “fire” in a crowded theatre have to be punished, but the right to criticize ideologies or religions are necessary conditions for a vital democracy. As George Orwell once said: “If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear”.

Let us defend freedom of speech and let us gain strength and work hard to become even stronger. Millions think just like you and me. Millions think liberty is precious. That democracy is better than sharia. And after all, why should we be afraid? Our many freedoms and our prosperity are the result of centuries of endeavour. Centuries of hard work and sacrifice. We do not stand alone, and we stand on the shoulders of giants.

Late December 1944 the American army was suddenly faced with a last-ditch effort by the Germans. In the Ardennes, in the Battle of the Bulge, Hitler and his national-socialists fought for their last chance. And they were very successful. Americans faced defeat, and death.
In the darkest of winter, in the freezing cold, in a lonely forest with snow and ice as even fiercer enemies than the Nazi war machine itself, the American army was told to surrender. That might be their only chance to survive. But General McAuliffe thought otherwise. He gave the Germans a short message. This message contained just four letters. Four letters only, but never in the history of freedom was a desire for liberty and perseverance in the face of evil expressed more eloquently than in that message. It spelled N – U – T – S. “Nuts”.
My friends, the national-socialists got the message. Because it left no room for interpretation! I suggest we walk in the tradition of giants like General McAuliffe and the American soldiers who fought and died for the freedom of my country and for a secular and democratic Europe, and we tell the enemies of freedom just that. NUTS! Because that’s all there is to it. No explanations. No beating around the bush. No caveats.
Our enemies should know: we will never apologize for being free men, we will never bow for the combined forces of Mecca and the left. And we will never surrender. We stand on the shoulders of giants. There is no stronger power than the force of free men fighting for the great cause of liberty. Because freedom is the birthright of all man.

May you be well and stay safe, Geert. You are a brave patriot. Godspeed and save you from persecution, prosecution and other ills.

I urge all who hold First Amendment rights sacred to visit his site, spread the word of his plight, see "Fitna" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZI0DFhcarY&feature=PlayList&p=35DD115CD32A3290&playnext=1&index=39 and donate to his cause.

NOTE: Live Leak speaks:

Update: LiveLeak speaks:

LiveLeak.com has a strict stance on remaining unbiased and allowing freedom of speech as so far as the law and our rules allow. There was no legal reason to refuse Geert Wilders the right to post his film (Fitna) on LiveLeak.com and it is not our place to censor people based on an emotive response. We in no way endorse Geert Wilders, his views, nor the views expressed within Fitna. To many of us involved in LiveLeak.com some of the messages therein are personally offensive. That being said, our being offended is no reason to deny Mr Wilders the right to have his film seen. Pre-emptive censorship or a discriminatory policy towards freedom of speech are both things we oppose here on LiveLeak.com. A person has a simple, clear choice about whether to view this film. No one is being forced to view it and nor is it being broadcasted on every channel on their television set. If you click on media simply to be annoyed, it is pointless to blame others for your choice.

We do not intend on defending the content of Fitna, only our choice to allow it. Anyone has the full right of reply on LiveLeak.com. Any person or organizations are free to post their opinion and, dependent on said response falling within both the law and our rules, we will afford such responses equal exposure. There are undoubtedly better ways to spark a discussion but this film is now out there and we believe we should all grasp this opportunity to create an open dialogue and discussion on this subject.

How'm I Doin' Pt. Two

According to many, among them Noel Sheppard of Newsbusters, The One, after a month in office, is less popular than both W and Carter during theirs. Contrary to the ongoing and pathetic attempts of mainstream media to hoist him forward, the blush seems indeed to be off the rose. Keith Olberman, MSNBC's starry eyed fan of the election cycle, has begun to fret that "Obama acts disturbingly like Bush." I've got news for him: Web Tarpley warned us as long ago as Spring, 2008 that this guy, with Brzeznski at the helm, was going to make the neocons look like Mother Theresa singing 'Kum-by-a". And, as if that weren't enough, it is clear that others inside the loop feel equally uncomfortable. LameCherry writes,
"Did you notice Sec. of War Robert Gates not wanting any part of this Obama cage in being slow to rise and looking completely uncomfortable stuck between Obama groupies and being the photo op of "Obama really knows about war".
It doesn't matter how nice of suit the press dresses Birdie Obama in as he is still a chameleon and in shedding his skin he is showing he has the brain of a newt and the press has no confidence in him by their enabling."
Moreover, Marion Valentine, former Navy Intel, continues to post a plethora of solid information on the web of links behind this operative on Political Pyro.
"I guess my years in Navy Intel ruined me, instead of looking at events separately, I try to connect many seemingly unrelated events but have the same thing in common...."
Like our wise Logistics Monster, he reminds us to always look at the big picture, to connect seemingly unrelated issues and events and to seek the common thread. Never has it been more imperative for us to do so. The very fate of our nation, its economy and its Constitution hangs in the balance, and it has been painfully clear for a long time that main stream American media has failed us completely by refusing to report fact objectively. With few exceptions such as Glenn Beck of FOX, they suppress facts, promulgate propaganda and leave the American electorate completely in the dark like so many mushrooms.

And so, that is why Americans have forsaken the bizarre fluff of main stream media for the open range of the internet's bloggers and commentators; live streaming radio talk has burgeoned and websites like Logistics Monster, Political Pyro, Texas Darlin' and Insight Analytical continue to abound. Our radio shows, like Andrea Shea King, Mommae's Radio Rebels, Sentinel Radio, My Two Cents Presents Constitutional Radio and The Dame Truth are committed to bringing the truth to the forefront in the effort to educate ourselves and the American people about things many of us had comfortably put aside: our Constitution, Bill of Rights, corporate connections to political and government entities and all the rest of those slimy things sitting on the slippery slopes of a descent into economic and political chaos and the loss of our rights.

It has now come to light in an essay published today at Counterpunch.org that former Assistant Treasury Secretary Paul Craig Roberts confirms that the U.S. government has been leasing gold to suppress its price and support the dollar. The admission is made in the last paragraph of the essay, which is appended.

If incompetence in Washington, the type of incompetence that produced the current economic crisis, destroys the dollar as reserve currency, the "unipower" will overnight become a third world country, unable to pay for its imports or to sustain its standard of living.

How long can the US government protect the dollar's value by leasing its gold to bullion dealers who sell it, thereby holding down the gold price? Given the incompetence in Washington and on Wall Street, our best hope is that the rest of the world is even less competent and even in deeper trouble. In this event, the US dollar might survive as the least valueless of the world's fiat currencies.

It is incumbent upon us to notice, to read, speak and share our observations and knowledge. It is important to note such things as the word "crisis" being iterated over and over in speeches, all the better to prepare us to willingly surrender to martial law in fear of our lives.

Note that as many as 28 states have or are now entertaining and passing resolutions to assert their States Rights and soverignty under the 10th Amendment as a result of Federal eyes on States' monies and 2nd Amendment issues. This has not happened since the mid 19th century and NO, I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP.

We rally and support one another in the initiative to report the news as it is, not as They would have us see it. I don't know about you, but I just sat on my tinfoil hat--I realize I don't need it anymore, for we have seen the Enemy and it is *They!* Now, What are we going to do about it?!"

Getting The Word Out!

This has been a Week! With much of it having been devoted to birthing the website for "The Dame Truth" and developing its debut with my cohost, Patriot Rose, which airs this and future Mondays at 11 PM EST, this week came and went faster than the speed of light, which, incidentally, has been gracing us with its presence a bit longer each day, a sure harbinger that a long awaited Spring can't be far behind--exactly a month from today, in fact! A time of redemption, regrouping and new growth, I'm already seeing a Movement that has taken a deep breath, gotten its second wind, and is gearing itself up for the year ahead with many plans and projects.

Meanwhile, from Home Base, a reminder to tune in tonight at 11 PM EST for a special edition of "Kicking Back With Central Park" as we welcome cyberspace's foremost researcher/blogger, Diamond Tiger of Logistics Monster to share her experience with intelligence gathering and visitation by large numbers of huge entities both public and private. Her story is one of brilliance, bravery and astonishment. Callers welcome, chat always open and questions and comment invited!

And so it goes...enjoy the weekend everyone and keep your ear to the ground, shoulder to the wheel and nose to the grindstone...and don't hurt your back!

So...How'm I Doing?!

Well, that is one phrase we'll never hear uttered from the mouth of Mr. Obama. Firstly, unless it appears on a teleprompter, we have no fear of hearing anything of substance or even the slightest bit of concern from this individual. Were I to try to list all the lies and reversals that have occurred thus far, not even a month into the White House, the post would run for pages. Suffice to say, however, that all is not glittering on that paeon [peon?] of pyrite. HR-1, better known as the Stimulus Bill [one has to realize that "Stimulus" for one does not equal "stimulus" for another, and, in this case, the American people are NOT the ones being "stimulated" here] finally reached print at 11:00 PM the night before the vote, so of course no one was actually able to READ the thing in its thousand plus incarnation before voting on it. Despite the fact that my Saturday night show, "Kicking Back With Central Park" devoted its entire 90 minutes to the job exposing some of its more glaring horrors, neither Congress, nor the American people were able to get any truly comprehensive specific information about its thousand some pages before that vote.

As Jeff Emanuel points out in his February 9 Redstate.com piece,

"It doesn’t get much simpler or more clear-cut than this. During his campaign, President Obama promised that he “will not sign any non-emergency bill without giving the American public an opportunity to review and comment on the White House website for five days.”

The so-called “stimulus” bill was passed by the Senate just before midnight on Friday night (after Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-OH, arrived on the publicly-funded private jet Obama sent to fetch him from his mother’s funeral and cast the deciding vote for the package neither he nor a single other member of Congress has read).

President Obama, who has also not read the $787,000,000,000.00 borrow-and-spend bill, has announced that he will sign the debt legislation into law on Tuesday in Denver. [What, was he too busy going to Camp David, checking out the basketball court, going to Chicago for Valentine's Day, putting his picture up with George Washington and Abraham Lincoln in celebration of those great mens' birthdays, reading to children at an elementary school and making preparations to fly to DENVER to sign that turkey of a pork bill??]

The legislation was posted on WhiteHouse.Gov on Friday afternoon (at 2:05pm EST), but was not passed until that night. So, let’s count the days: Saturday-1. Sunday-2. Monday-3. Signing on Tuesday. That’s three days, not five.

Among other things, this little tidbit lay deep inside, crusted in its shell and working hard to recreate itself as a pearl for certain entities:
"Another unforgivable flaw is how the bill makes huge changes on major national policies without any significant debate. One provision guts the 1996 welfare reform law, which reduced caseloads by 70 percent. Instead, individuals will again be entitled to unlimited lifetime benefits without work requirements and, amazingly, states will have financial incentives to increase caseloads."
One has only to read Jack Kelly's op-ed at Real Clear Politics to see what has really transpired here, and that, indeed the Pyrite's victory is Pyrrhic indeed.

And this, while the Obama/Soetoros whine that their job is too hard, the White House too confining [despite the in-house bowling alley, candy maker and Kobe beef cooking chef], and that they need more vacations. Almost before the ink was dry on the lease, off they trundled to Camp David, thanking all "the little people" for making it possible. I would urge you to read American Thinker's Lauri Regan on "The Audacity of the Obamas"-- it is clear that, for those who claimed not to know it before, we are in deep trouble with this bunch of usurpers, and just because main stream media has been coopted or drugged into not reporting it does not mean it's not a problem, which brings us to yet another front on this multifaceted nightmare.

As much as main stream media refuses to report it, the ineligibility issue is NOT going away. Once thought to be the purview of only Eastern Bloc countries and Banana Republics [the former set up, in fact, by American corporate interests like United Fruit], news suppression and propaganda have new firmly established themselves in the U.S. as the method by which usurpers, pretenders and big money interests attempt to control the people. However, the older models, from which arose Fascist Italy, Nazi Germany and the later Cloward-Piven/Saul Alinsky games did not factor in technology, which has given us, among other things, the internet. It is indeed difficult to hoodwink and control a people if they have alternatives to msm disseminated information and access to communication and so, my friends, the news does continue to emerge despite the best efforts of Those Who Would Usurp. To wit, among others, one Lame Cherry entertains us with a wild but fact filled introduction of one Fredric D. Woocher, Esq. of Strumwasser & Woocher, as it is his firm which Barack Hussein Dunham, Obama, Soetero has contacted to spend even more money in attempting to obscure Mr. Obama's true identity by hiding his Occidental College records in California.

As Alan Keyes, a plaintiff in one of the myriad suits challenging Obama/Soetoro's eligibility and abrogation of the U.S. Constitution points out,

"Now Obama's lawyers have filed a motion to quash our effort to obtain the relevant documents (cf. Bob Unruh's WND article Sanctions sought in eligibility case.) I am told that it includes a demand that monetary penalties be assessed against me and the other plaintiffs in the suit. Though not unexpected, this motion confirms Obama's ruthless determination to destroy anyone who continues to seek the information the Constitution requires. Why should they demand penalties against citizens who are simply seeking the enforcement of the Supreme Law of the Land? It is simply because their persistence runs contrary to the will of a supposedly popular demagogue? This smacks of tyrannical arrogance. That Obama thus signals his intent to bring financial ruin on those who won't accept his cover-up of the circumstances of his birth is a tactical escalation. It confirms the common sense suspicion that he won't act forthrightly in this matter because he has something to hide.

"As one of the targets of this escalation, I need no more convincing proof of the ruthless disposition so far successfully masked by his empty rhetoric of hope and change. Obviously he means to offer hope only to those willing to surrender their most basic rights. To any who insist on questioning his actions, he offers the drastic change of ruin and destruction. So be it. We shall be among those who learn firsthand the meaning of the sacrifices made by the Founders of our free republic, as they pledged and gave up their lives, their fortunes and the world's esteem."

So, what is one to do in these times that so try [wo]men's souls? While we must each decide what our part is in our country's and Constitution's health, I leave you with some ultra, uber saliant words, shared with us from none other than the fearless and fact laden Logistics Monster:

To borrow a line from Glenn Beck; “You are the Protectors of Liberty”, which means you have a couple of questions to ask yourself.

  1. Am I a true patriot that believes in the principles laid down by the Constitution and the Founding Fathers, or am I a socialist sheep that would be running for South America if I were a Nazi SS officer?
  2. What, when, where, and how am I willing to protect these principles and liberties for myself, my family and future generations?

No answer required; it is just something you need to start thinking about and have clear answers for those questions. Also, you might want to think about looking beyond the immediate disenfranchisement problem.

And, last but most certainly not least, our brilliant founding father, Thomas Jefferson:

“Scenes are now to take place as will open the eyes of credulity and of insanity itself, to the dangers of a paper medium abandoned to the discretion of avarice and of swindlers.” –Thomas Jefferson to Thomas Cooper, 1814. ME 14:189

Be well, stay safe, and, for continued illuminating and exciting discussions on our Constitution, don't forget to tune in to tonight's edition of "Constitutional Radio!"

Blessings, Nino;)

Northern Exposure

I went North this weekend, to the calming silence of the Adirondaks in Winter with their endless crags of snowy firs, sub zero temperatures and crunching snow. Not a fan of winter sports save occasional cross country skis, my intention was to catch a quick respite with an old friend in a short sojourn to the nether zone. My friend Karen's camp, nestled among lakes and peaks, welcomed us with warm wooden floors and the loving arms of its overstuffed chairs. By the fire, we spoke of many things--we are alter egos since school days, so much alike, yet chose different paths. She is wife, widow, mother and grandmother; I'm a writer, activist, consultant and golden retriever owner who preferred travel to toddlers, fox hunts to soccer and yoga to dogma--yet we share so much in common. Love of friends, family, country; road trips, beaches, and memories of childhood in mid-20th century America. We are like most Americans everywhere. We crave peace, love, balance and human rights.

As we walked through the little town of Old Forge [Snowmobile Central], the sound of snow, crunching under tires and Sorelled feet suddenly reminded us that we hadn't heard that sound in a long time, just as we hadn't seen roads covered with blowing, drifting snow. Winter in the Hudson Valley was different back then, and here in Central New York it never left. These days, all traces of snow leave the day after storms, and snow dunes are a thing of the past. It warms up so quickly now that the snow rarely stays for long, let alone get cold enough to crunch.

The phone at the camp is an old black desk phone with a DIAL. As I made a phone call, I wondered how long it had been since I'd even SEEN a dial phone, let alone used one. [It worked fine, by the way]. It took a minute to remember where the numbers were but I managed to dial correctly and connect to my party just as quickly as with touch tone. I don't remember thinking it took forever to dial a number back then but now, in today's busy world, the pause between lightening dial of pad and ring at the other end seems an eternity, and if the power goes out, I'm stuck with the cell, if the battery's charged.

It was truly a post card weekend, replete with frost painted windows, snow drifts and sub zero air. We recalled the days of rear wheel drive cars slipping sideways on snowy roads: front- and all wheel drive, separate heating controls, and in-glass defrost were unheard of back then. The well- prepared made do with tire chains and for awhile we had studded tires for winter, which had to be removed by April 15 lest they skid on dry pave or tear up the roads. If we went into a ditch we hiked to a house and called someone to pull us out. We didn't have cell phones or Garmins because they didn't exist. But we survived, with pay phones and road maps, blissfully ignorant of our peril.

As we move into 2009, trepidation and uncertainty rule with each new rant on economic, political and military strife. Warnings of shortages abound and gun stores report record sales. It may well be that we are headed for a period of reckoning and rebalance that will test our mettle and press our collective edge, but I have no doubt that we will survive to triumph in better shape than ever. We have become a society both blessed and cursed with convenience, but we are not without resources when we're pushed to a test.

“…We are lazy. We don’t demand that our “leaders” do anything for us, just that they talk about it. We don’t bother to dig into the facts or do research, we vote for the candidate our party and/or the Male Stream Media tells us to vote for.”

Brava, Grail. It is time we realized that, and time we took action. You, along with countless others, are leading the charge to inform with facts instead of fantasy and hold leaders and media accountable.

We are faced with challenge, the like of which we've not seen since the Great Depression, and, in fact, things being what they are now, what lies ahead may be even worse. But we can take this opportunity to stop and think, to regroup and re evaluate and remind ourselves that we are capable of much more than we think. We need to remember that we are a lot stronger, smarter, and resourceful than we realize. We are Americans, whose destiny was forged by our Constitution and our inherent desire to be individuals. We have forgotten the Daniel Boone who purportedly said that when he could see the smoke of his neighbors' fire it was time to move on. We forget that there are still places where pieces of the Santa Fe Trail are visible, and that we are all descendants of pioneers of one sort or another. We are still pioneers; we can draw courage and inspiration from all that have passed before us, and remember that rarely do we find our edge these days unless something forces us toward it. We can celebrate the positives and we can follow the example of those like Grail, Insight, Logistics Monster and all the other brave warriors who daily fight for their country and its principles. We can remember that in unity, we are not alone, and that in numbers, we can accomplish great things.

New Years Blessings

New Years wishes to all! As I trundle back toward a semblance of routine after the always mind-numbing chaos of the Holiday Season, the weather here in the Northeast is cold and wintery with wind chills near zero F. As much as the celebrations of faith, hope, good will and human kindness buoy us, carrying us through December's winter blasts, I am always glad to see the New Year arrive, and with it, the return to routine, whatever it may be. Though I have never been an ardent fan of New Years Eve, the First day of the New Year always brings a large sigh of relief as I am reminded that, once again, the Holidays are over for another year and with them the requisite overindulgence, late party nights and rooms full of wafting tissue paper, the dregs of gift exchange, escaping their prisons of boxes and bags.

I like the illusion that each January 1st is a clean slate, blank, shining and ready to help us put our best foot forward, get organized and resume productivity. Inevitably, I am always eager to embark on indoor projects geared to simplify and enhance daily living: cleaning out desk, bureau and kitchen drawers, sorting clothes for Good Will, grooming dogs [not just BATHING, but GROOMING!], and the like. I outline projects for the year ahead and make lists of things to do.

However, for me, the most important part of a New Year is that of taking stock, doing an accounting of the year just passed, so I have an inventory with which to navigate the next one, and that involves one of the most important tools of all: gratitude. Regardless of what has befallen me, or my country or the world at large, the ability to have gratitude for those things positive is vital. For instance, as devastating as some of the darkest days of 2008 were, the fact that, out of the same dark events came so many incredible gifts in the form of the many wonderful people whom I never would have met had it not been for our mutual outrage at our Party, our political system, and main stream media. I am so very blessed to have crossed paths with so many talented, passionate, committed, brilliant people. Of all the blessings and gifts that 2008 bestowed upon me, the people continue to be the greatest gift of all. We have supported, rallied, motivated, comforted, stimulated and befriended one another throughout our fight to be heard in our efforts to reform media, political systems and attitudes toward women. There is nothing that can surpass this kind of community and as we move into 2009, I see our coalitions continuing to grow and survive, more strongly than ever. Despite some differences of opinion, most of us continue to be respectful and appreciative of one anothers' efforts in our fight to attain mutual goals. The overriding factor is that most people want to get along and work to accomplish these goals. Amy Siskind and The New Agenda http://thenewagenda.net/ have made great strides in only 5 months, and Heidi Li's nascent 51% http://www.fifty-one-percent.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=64&Itemid=49 is doing the same--for these are the organizations that represent the interests of ALL women, irrespective of political affiliation, lifestyle choices, socioeconomic strata or marital status.

On the political front, much history continues to be made, despite media's refusal to report any of it. Rather than report that 54% of the American people now believe there is reason to be concerned about Barack Obama's eligibility to occupy the Oval Office, http://wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=84990 or that Supreme Court of the United States has now scheduled two conferences on Philip Berg's cases, Jan. 9th and 16th; [Mr. Berg has now entered an interpleader naming Barry Soetoro himself as a defendant, thus shifting the burden of proof to Soetoro/Obama, also naming a member of the military as a plaintiff, which satisfies the standing issue]; or that, although Congress is scheduled to count the electoral college votes which were due by December 15, 2008, [December 24th was the deadline for receipt of electoral votes at NARA], Public Law 110-430 changed the date of the electoral vote in Congress in 2009 from January 6 to January 8, [again for the first and only time in history], and that a presidential candidate has only 180 electoral votes, with 26 states not yet reporting despite the fact that the deadline for receiving votes was over two weeks ago. http://larrymwalkerjr.blogspot.com/2008/12/electoral-college-update.html , http://archives.gov/federal-register/electoral-college/2008/ Some of the states have not yet responded and some have refused to vote for Soetoro/Obama. In any event, he is still one hundred votes from the 270 required to get elected. [It has been touch and go from the beginning, so why should it be any different now? Don't blame us, we tried to warn everyone that he was unelectable!] It is surely the first time in history that our country has been faced with a candidate about whom nothing is known except for the fact that he is most certainly not eligible to be president because he is not a natural born American citizen, and yet all we hear about is Barry's fondness for wearing his hat backwards and playing with his Blackberry while complaining about his security detail as Middle East conflicts continue to escalate.

In short, we are facing a number of historical firsts, NONE of which main stream media has seen fit to report. The good news is that more groups are being organized to hold media accountable, and expose the truth about such entities as the Federal Reserve [http://logisticsmonster.com/2008/12/31/americas-economic-collapse-an-intricate-web-of-money-power-and-political-agendas-part-i/#comment-2899] as well as reform our political system, so broken as it has become by corruption, collusion and voter fraud. We The People http://www.wethepeoplefoundation.org/obama/ , Wake Up America http://www.wam08.org and a score of other coalitions, new and old, are forming, regrouping and getting to roll out ongoing plans, spearheaded by tireless, passionate, committed people with a multitude of skills and talents from which to draw, and it is wonderful to see that the devastating events of 2008 have not discouraged us, but instead motivated us even further.

The Year is young, and awaits our attention! Best of luck and blessings to all as we forge ahead to achieve our goals.
