"The Long Hot Summer Ahead"

As we probe our Nation of Laws

Under the Constitution,

Ask relevant questions & ponder

The world in which we live

Through the wise words of our Founders

Although the Northeast remains covered with clouds and rain, the summer ahead looms large as concerns over our nation's integrity continue to grow. It seems the "Perfect Storm" has begun to converge over our great nation with severe economic issues, suspect motive and integrity in government, a plethora of Constitutional abrogations flying around unchecked, foreign policy at a dangerous crossroads and our troops spread ever thinner across the gaping hole of Asia and the Middle East. [The Middle East actually IS part of Asia but as that is a little known fact, I note it herein]. While the list is all too complicated and too painfully long to complete in a mere blog post, suffice to say that most of us are aware of Trouble Ahead, and Trouble Behind, as the song, "Casey Jones*" says.

Join Drkate and me as we spend another 90 minutes trying to thrash out the issues, put out the news and remind everyone that we ARE a Nation of Laws, based upon the U.S. Constitution, and that THAT--NOT special interests, extremists or comfortable congresspeople-- is the Law of the Land.

The First 100 Days: Like Syphillus Only Not As Much Fun

distressbetsy_ross-first-american-flagWell, people, there you have it, straight from the horse's mouth. The reports are out and, as we knew already, it isn't pretty. As if to herald the sheer thrill of managing to stay IN the Oval Office this long, The One went wild this week, terrorizing innocent New Yorkers with a "flyover" guaranteed to render everyone in the Tri State area a permanent episode of post traumatic stress and flooding the public with Fear of Flu. Well...don't say I didn't warn you but... I told you so...oh wait, YOU'RE the ones that already knew it.

The New York Post, rarely intimidated by the GE Corporate Media Cabal, was forthcoming as usual, with their assessment of the last 100 days of hell, and trust me when I say that THAT is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Our intrepid patriot at Hillbuzz did raise an interesting question this week about the connection between cocaine abuse and early onset Parkinsons Disease. That would certainly explain, among other things, the need for a constant script rendered on a teleprompter, to keep "One" focused, prevent confusion, losing train of thought, and allowing medication to overcome him with giddiness, paranoia, or hallucinations — all symptoms of Parkinson’s. Just sayin'...

And, as if that weren't enough...

So much to do, so little time...and so, we continue to not only rage against the empire, but also to take measured, concrete and effective action! Drkate and I welcomed Free Enterpriser's Tom Borelli of GE annual meeting infiltrator fame [take your pick from Scroogle--Tom's story broke in the Hollywood Reporter, Drudge, Glenn Beck and O'Reilly among others] last night on Constitutional Radio for an exhilarating session of brainstorming live. Among the things we came up with:

  • BOYCOTT: Each and every GE product you can think of.
  • BOYCOTT: ALL Proctor & Gamble products; their CEO sits on GE BOD
  • GET ACTIVE WITH ACCDF, the fast growing coalition of American Constitution & Capitalism Defense Front at http://accdf.com
  • SUPPORT OTHER Coalitions, Initiatives, Rallies, Marches & Protests, including but not limited to the Tea Party Movement, Glenn Beck's the912Project, and of course, ACCDF
  • READ AND CARRY a copy of the Constitution. Yes I KNOW you'll be forever branded as a deranged, patriotic domestic terrorist, but who cares. Do it anyway. You''ll be in fine company.
  • EDUCATE, INFORM, LISTEN AND SPEAK! READ Logistics Monster, Atlas Shrugs, drkate, The Dame Truth, Pat Dollard, TELL others and TALK about it all the time and LISTEN to Blogtalk Radio, our blessed alternative to mainstream media's crack house drivel, and KEEP TALKING ABOUT IT!
  • SHARE: experience, strength and hope, mailing lists, ideas, our American history and anything and everything else that demonstrates support for the Movement and one another. [well...not everything...]

And above all, treasure youself--we're all we've got! Stay tuned for our Rolling Thunder Rollout of Rally for the Republic--coming soon to a computer near you, sponsored by our Constitutional Radio, The Dame Truth, and all you Patriots, without whom we can do nothing, for we have just begun to fight!

Question of the Day

Yesterday, a listener posed a question at the Event wall for our Constitutional Radio show: he asked what made us different from 'all the other' radio talk show hosts. I replied thusly.

I'd like to thank you for raising that question! Firstly, I think it is a mistake to disparage talk show hosts, as we are now the only respite from the propaganda machine that has supplanted the news source that was once main stream media. We are the last bastion that stands between fact and complete lack of information, total disinformation, news suppression and out and out propaganda. Secondly, it is always a mistake to make generalizations because of the vast difference and array of talk show hosts, topics and objectives. Thirdly, what distinguishes drkate and me [a/k/a Dame Central] in our Constitutional Radio initiative is that we strive to EDUCATE ourselves and our listeners so that we are AWARE of both the LAW and our OPTIONS in working to restore our Constitutional Republic. We take great care with respect to whom we invite as guests, always keeping in mind that our goal is to EDUCATE, MOTIVATE AND ACTIVATE concerted response to the issues our country faces today.

We continue to be at the forefront of NETWORKING, MOBILIZING and ORGANIZING Americans to EXERCISE THEIR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS of FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION, RIGHT TO ASSEMBLE, and right to bear arms, these being the First and Second Amendments to our Constitution, and the first two amendments of the 10 that comprise our Bill of Rights. Why do we do this? Because we see a great need for Americans to have places to gather and learn, to support one another and our Constitution, and exercise their role as citizens in the greatest Constitutional Republic in the history of the world.
Again, many thanks for asking the question, and for giving us the opportunity to answer! For that's what America is all about! Stay tuned for things to come, and ever more news about what we are all doing to preserve and protect our Constitution, our Country and our Freedoms.

Divided We Fall

Written and directed by Jan Hrebejk, Divided We Fall is the brilliant 2000 film about a war-torn, Nazi occupied Czech village in which one couple makes the ultimate sacrifice to save another by hiding a Jewish friend at great personal risk of discovery and execution. Ironies and plot twists abound, much life life itself, and the message is clear: Divided We Fall.

Present day America, and indeed, the world, should see this film, heed this message, and take it to heart. Today's Logistics Monster, apparently resonating my thoughts, posts a short, powerful statement, replete with David Johnson video--another 'Must See.' Today's current climate, both in America and throughout the world, is tenuous at best, fraught with fear and teetering at a tipping point few of us ever dreamed of seeing. We face issues that we, as Americans, had grown up believing long since resolved, only to wake up, like so many stunned attendees at the Tea Party down the rabbit hole, to find that little, if anything has been resolved. We stand at the edge of an abyss in a combined Perfect Storm culture medium of Constitutional abuse, unresponsive government, and economic downfall at the hands of entities such as Henry Paulson's Goldman Sachs etal.

Like the men who fought to win the Island of Iwo Jima so our planes could land for refueling, we, too must ALL hang together, despite any perceived differences. We must remember that we are ALL Americans, and as such, must refrain from dissension and disunity in order to fight the Beast at our door who encourages and foments factional fights. Look at Ernie Pyle's famed picture of the Marines as they hove our flag atop Mt. Suribachi, which epitomizes loyalty and teamwork, and remember it well. All of us need to heed its image and its message and stop criticizing one another as we unite to once again raise our flag atop the newest mountain of challenge, that of our Constitution, our Liberty and our Country, and remember, the Marine Corps adage, "First the Mission." There is little to be accomplished and a great deal to be lost by indulging in disagreements of any kind now, be they between parties, genders or attorneys filing suit to ensure our Constitution's safety.

I hope you will join drkate and me on My Two Cents Presents Constitutional Radio tonight at 10 PM EDT as we welcome Mario Apuzzo and Charles Kerchner, updating their case, followed by Philip Berg at 11 PM EDT.

Out of Our Seats and Into The Streets!

The time is now--freedom isn't free. Last night's 90 minutes on "Kickin' Back With Central Park" went fast with Pat Dollard speaking on action in service of our country and reminding us of the many things we can all do to preserve and protect our Constitution and the rights it guarantees. It is refreshing to hear people speak of accountability and action, responsibility and reaction and gives us promise of a bright future despite the dark clouds we now face. I have often spoken of my faith in the American People, of their independent resolve and wish to live free; of their courage and patriotism; and my belief in our system of government and the strength of our people has never wavered despite the recent emergence of some of the greatest challanges in our history.

To be better prepared, informed and active for our country's hour of need, listen to Pat Dollard Sundays at 5 PM EDST and read and save drkate's latest whitepaper on Texas Darlin's blog and don't forget to join us at "The Dame Truth" on Mondays at 8 PM EDST and at "Constitutional Radio" on Tuesdays at 10 PM EDST. Forewarned is Forearmed, and we've all got to get out of our seats and into the streets!

How'm I Doin' Pt. Two

According to many, among them Noel Sheppard of Newsbusters, The One, after a month in office, is less popular than both W and Carter during theirs. Contrary to the ongoing and pathetic attempts of mainstream media to hoist him forward, the blush seems indeed to be off the rose. Keith Olberman, MSNBC's starry eyed fan of the election cycle, has begun to fret that "Obama acts disturbingly like Bush." I've got news for him: Web Tarpley warned us as long ago as Spring, 2008 that this guy, with Brzeznski at the helm, was going to make the neocons look like Mother Theresa singing 'Kum-by-a". And, as if that weren't enough, it is clear that others inside the loop feel equally uncomfortable. LameCherry writes,
"Did you notice Sec. of War Robert Gates not wanting any part of this Obama cage in being slow to rise and looking completely uncomfortable stuck between Obama groupies and being the photo op of "Obama really knows about war".
It doesn't matter how nice of suit the press dresses Birdie Obama in as he is still a chameleon and in shedding his skin he is showing he has the brain of a newt and the press has no confidence in him by their enabling."
Moreover, Marion Valentine, former Navy Intel, continues to post a plethora of solid information on the web of links behind this operative on Political Pyro.
"I guess my years in Navy Intel ruined me, instead of looking at events separately, I try to connect many seemingly unrelated events but have the same thing in common...."
Like our wise Logistics Monster, he reminds us to always look at the big picture, to connect seemingly unrelated issues and events and to seek the common thread. Never has it been more imperative for us to do so. The very fate of our nation, its economy and its Constitution hangs in the balance, and it has been painfully clear for a long time that main stream American media has failed us completely by refusing to report fact objectively. With few exceptions such as Glenn Beck of FOX, they suppress facts, promulgate propaganda and leave the American electorate completely in the dark like so many mushrooms.

And so, that is why Americans have forsaken the bizarre fluff of main stream media for the open range of the internet's bloggers and commentators; live streaming radio talk has burgeoned and websites like Logistics Monster, Political Pyro, Texas Darlin' and Insight Analytical continue to abound. Our radio shows, like Andrea Shea King, Mommae's Radio Rebels, Sentinel Radio, My Two Cents Presents Constitutional Radio and The Dame Truth are committed to bringing the truth to the forefront in the effort to educate ourselves and the American people about things many of us had comfortably put aside: our Constitution, Bill of Rights, corporate connections to political and government entities and all the rest of those slimy things sitting on the slippery slopes of a descent into economic and political chaos and the loss of our rights.

It has now come to light in an essay published today at Counterpunch.org that former Assistant Treasury Secretary Paul Craig Roberts confirms that the U.S. government has been leasing gold to suppress its price and support the dollar. The admission is made in the last paragraph of the essay, which is appended.

If incompetence in Washington, the type of incompetence that produced the current economic crisis, destroys the dollar as reserve currency, the "unipower" will overnight become a third world country, unable to pay for its imports or to sustain its standard of living.

How long can the US government protect the dollar's value by leasing its gold to bullion dealers who sell it, thereby holding down the gold price? Given the incompetence in Washington and on Wall Street, our best hope is that the rest of the world is even less competent and even in deeper trouble. In this event, the US dollar might survive as the least valueless of the world's fiat currencies.

It is incumbent upon us to notice, to read, speak and share our observations and knowledge. It is important to note such things as the word "crisis" being iterated over and over in speeches, all the better to prepare us to willingly surrender to martial law in fear of our lives.

Note that as many as 28 states have or are now entertaining and passing resolutions to assert their States Rights and soverignty under the 10th Amendment as a result of Federal eyes on States' monies and 2nd Amendment issues. This has not happened since the mid 19th century and NO, I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP.

We rally and support one another in the initiative to report the news as it is, not as They would have us see it. I don't know about you, but I just sat on my tinfoil hat--I realize I don't need it anymore, for we have seen the Enemy and it is *They!* Now, What are we going to do about it?!"

Life in The Squirrel Cage

Greetings one and all! Today brings the second and final day of the Westminster Dog Show, one of the only remaining benched shows here in the States, which means that "backstage," out of the rings in Madison Square Garden, the dogs and their owners and handlers are available for visit and conversation. It is truly one of the highlights of the Dog World Year, and while there are those who would not agree, my experience with it underlines the care and love for the preservation of breed standard throughout the canis majoris world.

What in god's name does this have to do with anything relevant in today's squirrel cage world, in which issues of such extreme severity rear their heads daily and send most of the sentient public into near heart failure?

Well, for one thing, it is an example of commitment to standards and the nurturing of things some of us care a great deal for. Yes, I know there are millions of wonderful mixed breed dogs needing homes; I myself have a mixed breed, a retired breeding bitch and a 3 and a half year old purebred golden retriever which I originally got for breeding purposes but decided against it when I realized that breeding her would not necessarily enhance or contribute to the breed standard. She's a love who is not being 'backyard bred' and contributing to an over population. But, I digress. The need for tolerance in our world cannot be overemphasized. While the show goes on inside, there are PETA members dressed in KKK attire, demonstrating outside. Now, I am a lover of animals and of my country; I am also a believer in tolerance. While we cannot possibly ever ALL agree on every issue, we have to agree that our country comes first--if it doesn't, then NO one will have any rights, privileges or freedoms, and that includes the freedom to have purebred or mixed breed animals, eat or not eat meat, or any other personal choice.

The point is that we who love our country and have learned perhaps more than we ever wanted to know about what is now wrong with it, subscribe to the same level of love and commitment as those who work to preserve and protect their chosen breed. In our case, our 'breed' is our nation itself and its people, the wonderful mixture of diversity, commitment and strength that make our country as great as it is. We are committed to protecting it from adulteration, from seeing its Constitution abrogated and dissolved, and to seeing it thrive and flourish as it was meant to since its birth over 200 years ago.

I am proud and honored to work alongside so many brilliant, hardworking, brave and committed individuals--too many to list in this post, but perhaps in another--and I am so pleased to welcome back Just Say No Deal 2.0! We are all regrouping and gearing up for the onslaught of 2009, which, I fear, will make our battles of 2008 seem mild by comparison, but we ARE here, we're working hard and making headway every day.

Viva La Vida, and Viva Les Etats Unis! God Bless America, its Constitution and its wonderful people! Tune in tonight for "Constitutional Radio" show # 4!

Plus Sa Change, Plus C'est La Meme...or, SSDY

I live in an old house, by New World standards, and, in my town, the oldest. Built of stone in pre-Revolutionary America, it has weathered the storms of time, both atmospheric and political, and remained, by some miracle, solid if not terribly straight, steadfastly refusing to buckle under either.

Thomas Paine, in his 1776 treatise, "The Crisis", wrote, "These are the times that try [our] souls." Written as part of a series of 16 pamplets over the course of the American Revolution, his intent was to inform, rally and motivate, in this case, the troops at Trenton. It is devastating to realize that the same is true today: our nation and indeed the world faces dire straits and rough waters ahead as the economic forecast blows closer to tsunami than soft breeze, and scary words like New World Order, Middle East Conflict and Economic Meltdown threaten to pull us down on the dangerous undertow from the illusory waves of hopeychange rhetoric that promised to lull America's furrowed brow back to the familiar complacency to which it had grown so accustomed. We hear, too, words like Foreclosure and Ford Foundation, Trilateral Commission, Council on Foreign Relations, Warburg, Bailout, World Bank, Brzeznski and The Fed, and wonder where our money went besides the pockets of Enron heads, bonuses for bank breaking C suite cabals and Bernie Madoff's cache cow. And, thankfully, too, we hear familiar, comforting words like Declaration of Independence, United States Constitution, Federalist Papers, Bill of Rights, Amendments and Committee of Safety.

It occurred to me suddenly yesterday, while writing a letter, that we in present day America share more than a few similarities with pre Independence America, and that there are many among us upon whom this irony is not lost...that after 250 years, we are once again facing some of the same issues that led to our declaring independence from the British Empire, except that THIS time, we have a blueprint from which we can draw solutions--IF those in power are willing to take their oath to defend it seriously enough to uphold it. Tax issues, First and Second Amendment rights, trust in government, universal suffrage and human rights are just a few of the issues which continue to challege us as a People and a Nation.

At the time of the American Revolution for Independence, and Thomas Paine's 'The Crisis", the house in which I now live was already at least ten years old. The people who lived here at that time had no Constitution. They had little else but grit, conviction and a supreme unwillingness to be used, bossed and beggared by distant, uncaring imperialists.

From Indiginous Peoples to Immigrants, Americans have long come here to make better lives, to be able to live as they choose and answer to no one, and the same holds true today. Americans are by and large a hearty lot, bringing strength in their diversity, courage and their desire to succeed through willingness to work. The individualist spirits of America and its people have become legend as a beacon to those who would withstand the test of hard work to overcome the yoke of tyranny.

Those were scary years, with Patriots and Loyalists at odds, each taking actions they felt best; they certainly heard about, read about, talked about and thought about the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, the Constitution, the Committee of Safety, the Bill of Rights. The people who lived in this house or members of their family fought in the War for Independence and worried about how they would survive in a nascent country in the dead of winter with the threat of the King's soldiers banging at their doors, forcing them to house foreign troops taking their food or arresting them for treason. Surely they were anxious about their future and that of their new country, just as I now am concerned about some of the same things as I live in that same house.

I know how it turned out for them: those documents and those people did bring forth a great nation, after many years of war, privation and turmoil. Living near the Hudson River between New York and Albany, the people here saw a lot; the town was burned during the War of 1812 but survived to host some of the oldest stone houses in the state.

Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Aaron Burr, George Clinton, Alexander Hamilton, and George Washington all traveled through here on their ways back and forth to the Newburgh and Trenton encampments, to New York, Albany, Philadelphia and beyond; in some ways, the average yeomanry was probably better informed than are much of the populace today. They had a reasonably free Press, and television was centuries away from existence.

As I watch my Goldens play in the the falling snow outside my window on lands that were farmed those centuries ago, I take comfort in the strength, courage and conviction of the American People and our Troops, and the knowledge that our country was born and survived what seemed like unbeatable odds when this house was new; and as we face some of the most serious times in our history since, I know that as always, our American spirit will once again prevail.

As for taking action--today, as then, there are many of us who continue to fight for our Constitution, both here and in lands far away. "Constitutional Radio" is just one of many efforts afloat to educate and remind ourselves and others about its beauty, perfection and importance in maintaining our nation of laws. I hope you'll click on the Constitutional Radio logo at the right for a link to Blog Talk Radio's 'My Two Cents Presents Constitutional Radio with the Central Park 7, tonight and every Tuesday at 10:00 PM EST, and join us all in the love of country.

Dark Days: Taking the Oath...and Swearing

It is difficult to put today's events into clean, coherent words. With media's complicity in the attempt to program the American people through the largest propaganda campaign of half truths, untruths and fact suppression in American History, words have become slippery, oily creatures, swarming in hazy swirls of deception like so many mosquitoes in the Pantanal. Rather than continue to state the obvious, or try to improve on the elegant accuracy of others, I refer you to the thoughts of Canadian Free Press's Daniel Greenfield, as he writes, "The Bread and Circuses Presidency .

Be that as it may, words, well chosen, are the only defense against attempts to seize power through neurolinguistic programming and mass mind control. And so, with leaden heart, I, too, have taken an Oath today. I swear to continue to serve the interests of the United States of America and its Constitution, to speak my truth as plainly as I know how, and support others in their endeavors to do the same. To that end, I can only refer our readers to what is perhaps the bravest and most brilliant post of this dark day, if not the year, made by our esteemed Logistics Monster . Truly the Diamond of the 21st Century, Logistics stands out as the power of example to which we should all aspire.

In celebration of of that commitment, I invite all to join The Central Park 7 tonight at 10:00 PM EST for the debut of "Constitutional Radio", presented by Blog Talk Radio's My Two Cents and hosted by myself. In the weeks to come, the Central Park 7 will rotate hosting duties between drkate, still4hill and myself, as we explore our Constitution with guests whose areas of specialty lie in Constitutional studies. Tonight's show will introduce ourselves as the members of The Central Park 7 and discuss what brought each of us to our Defining Moment over the 2008 election cycle. The lines will be open at (347)202-0443 for question and comment and we look forward to seeing you there to celebrate our great country, its Constititution and its people through what portends to be some of the darkest days in our history.
