Spring Into Tea Time

The warmth of the Spring sun toasts the patio stones to the temperature of a hot rocks massage, and I am blessed this day to be able to watch an old dog snooze on their warmth as I watch a puppy cavort in the grass. Yes, life goes on-- amidst war and worry, terror and trial, here and abroad, we must all remember to savor these small spaces in time where life goes on as usual, and rejoice in the gifts it brings as we make ready our plans to speak out against that which threatens to bring us down. A great many thanks to the Usual Suspects--those bright bastions of light amidst the dark who grace and embrace us with fact, sort it from MSM fiction, and give us the kind of REAL hope that springs eternal in the hearts and minds of Americans near and far. Worldnet Daily, who reports Bob Basso's summons to the White House after his hugely successful, oft viewed Youtube "Thomas Paine" video came into their sights; who maintains an updated Tea Party site; Maggie's Notebook and Texas Darlin' , who have been diligent in reporting government surveillance on Bob Basso and Stephen Pidgeon, [our very own "Constitutional Radio's" guest this Tuesday, March 31 at 10:00 PM!] and others who dare to speak out, and of course, first, last and always, our inimitable Logistics Monster, who not only reports the truth the few knew, but also those who watch her, in the hope for a more transparent society all around! After all...Fair is Fair... and Those Who Watch must realize that Watching must be a two way street in a Democratic Republic. There are, in fact, so many hard working, patriotic Americans involved in the fight for their country now, both home and abroad that it would be impossible to include them all in one post-- my blogroll is long, and though by no means exhaustive, a good place to start-- but rest assured, no perusal of patriotism is complete without checking and supporting these fine sites: The Right Side of Life, Pat Dollard's growing coalition American Constitution and Capitalism Defense Front [ACCDF/ACTIVE] and radio show. And, too, the tireless efforts of Orly Taitz, Mario Apuzzo, Phil Berg and Teo at Birthers.org. Just a word of caution to all: Keep those Tea Parties going, and beware gov't. efforts to keep them hidden, cancelled and unattended. MSM has yet to report any of the massive wave of these grassroots efforts that have been taking place around the country, and as organizers of the April 1st Tea Party in Cape Coral, FL learned, if "too many" people plan to attend, municipalities can cancel these events unless permits and insurance are purchased in advance. Cape Coral's event portended a turn out of more than 500 people and thus, authorities prevailed upon Lynn Rosko to obtain permit and insurance. But, we continue to forge ahead on our path of patriotism, to educate others and to make ourselves heard, and we must salute not only our troops and patriotic leaders, but, too, the thin ranks of main stream media who have the courage and conviction to speak out about that which is wrong: Michelle Malkin, Glenn Beck's 912 Project, Gretawire...you know who you are--and a great big hat tip to you all! Happy Spring, Happy Tea Time and Happy Birthday Patriotism!

As members of Congress arrive today to be sworn in [with the glaring exceptions of Illinois's Roland Burris, soon-to-be-former Governor Blagojevich's last ditch appointee, and Minnesota's Al Franken, who, on the bazillionth recount, finally managed to get a win], the inner confines of the Beltway are abuzz with self congratulatory drama and attendant gaggles of adoring fans and family.

But amidst all this fanfare, as usual, media remains disgracefully mute. At the risk of going into the long list of facts ad nauseum, suffice to say that indeed the list is long, detailed and substantiated by documents obtained via the FOIA, public record, and common sense deduction from indisputable facts, eg., since a Natural Born Citizen can only qualify as such by virtue of having TWO American citizens as parents, it does NOT matter where Mr. Soetoro/Obama was born or where his birth certificate is, although it would be prudent to at least HAVE a valid one. He could have been born in a manger at Blair House but his parents were unable to confer Natural Born status upon him because his father was a foreign national and his mother was too young to have lived 5 years past the age of majority in the U.S., even if she had not been traveling all over the place. Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that it has obtained documents from the office of Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich through the Freedom of Information Act related to Blagojevich's contacts with President-elect Obama and his transition team. The documents include a December 3, 2008, letter from Barack Obama following his December 2, 2008, meeting with Blagojevich as well as a November 17, 2008, letter signed by Presidential Transition Team co-chairs Valerie Jarrett and John Podesta providing Blagojevich with a list of transition team contacts.

The following are excerpts from the letter signed by President-elect Obama on December 3, 2008, less than one week before authorities arrested Blagojevich for attempting to "sell" Obama’s now-vacant Senate seat, among other corruption charges:

• "Thank you for meeting with me on Tuesday in Philadelphia. Vice President-elect Joe Biden and I were pleased with the open discussion."
• "As we discussed, I would appreciate any advice you can provide to me and my team on the biggest roadblocks to states in moving forward in ‘getting ready to go' projects started quickly."
• "In addition, I welcome any advice you can provide me and my team on revitalizing and reinvigorating the state-federal partnership. I want to make it a priority of my Administration to work closely with you."
• "I look forward to working with you and hitting the ground running on January 20th."

The November 17, 2008, letter signed by Jarrett and Podesta states:

"On behalf of President-elect Barack Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden we want you to know of our strong interest in working with you in the months to come. As you may know we have formed a Presidential Transition Team so that the new Administration will be prepared to confront the extraordinary challenges facing our country. Your leadership and experience will be invaluable in this effort and we hope you will not hesitate to share your insights during this process."

"These documents tend to undermine Obama's claims that he had no contact with Blagojevich and suggest his transition is hiding documents about such contacts," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. "Why did President-elect Obama not release this letter? What else is he hiding?"

And, not to be outdone, another dose of Pelosi-style workings was revealed yesterday: she

"plans to re-write House rules today to ensure that the Republican minority is unable to have any influence on legislation. Meanwhile, back in the real world, the U.S. Supreme Court has two conferences scheduled on Berg lawsuits, and awaits yet another one. Web pages have been scrubbed so assiduously that it is now mandatory standard operating procedure for researchers to immediately take and save screen shots to prevent loss of material from daily scrubs.

And, all the while, the rest of the world stands by aghast, not knowing whether to gag or guffaw, probably doing a bit of both. Berg v. Obama: Union, Justice & the Blessings of Liberty Ordained

The very idea that such an outrage could even occur is disturbing; the fact that the plan got this far without being reported is bone chilling.

This case is historic--the United States Supreme Court has granted certiori. The decision to grant certiorari is solely at the discretion of the justices. This, in itself, is monumental: Of the approximately five thousand cases a year for which review by the Supreme Court is sought, fewer than 5 percent are granted certiorari. Clearly, and especially after their last involvement in a presidential election, [in which the Opinion stated that their 2000 decision was in no way intended to set precedent for future involvement in election decision]the Court has been reluctant to hear such issues. Even more interesting is that the writ was granted by none other than Justice David Souter [one of the dissenters in the 2000 case, and the one who suffered the most: he nearly resigned over it]. That in itself speaks volumes.

Never in our history has a Pretender risen so fast from a such a vastly steaming, swirling pile of mist, completely unknown, undetected, and unrepentant. Hillary Clinton and John McCain expressed concern and urged Congress to take action to prevent the disaster last year. And yet-- all one hears from mainstream media is a twisted cacophony of spin, complete with misquotes and misinformation.

Despite his current protestations to the contrary, Democrat Barney Frank is shown stating in 2006 that he wasn't worried about Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac. Today he is worried. Where were the democrats...I mean BESIDES Hillary Clinton?
